When I first heard about the Sims 4 legacy challenges, I was a bit skeptical.🧐 I mean, how exciting could it be to play the same game over and over again?
But after trying out a few of these challenges for myself, I can say that they are actually a lot of fun! So I’ve decided to do some research for you and compile a list of the 36 best Sims 4 Legacy Challenges out there!
Now, I know what you’re thinking. “I don’t have time for all that!” But trust me when I say that once you start one of these legacy challenges, you won’t want to stop.

The Sims 4 Legacy Challenge is a fun and unique way to play the game. For those who are unfamiliar with it, the challenge is to create a sim family and play through 10 generations.
Each generation has specific goals that must be met in order for the sims to progress. The challenge can be played with any sim, but it is especially fun to play with sims that have been created specifically for the challenge.
There are many different ways to approach the challenge, and it is up to you to decide how you want to play.
Whether you’re looking for a fun and challenging way to spend some time, or you’re simply curious about how Sims families evolve over time, the Sims 4 Legacy Challenge (Sims 4 Generations Challenges) is definitely worth checking out.
1. Live For Something Sims 4 Legacy Challenge – Aliennooboo
This challenge is about playing for 11 generations and trying out lots of different skills, goals, and worlds.
You can do anything you want in this challenge, but there are some guidelines. Your sim might complete one goal as a young adult, another as an adult, and a third as an elderly person. When you’re done with one goal, age up your sim and move on to the next one!
2. The Fatal Flaws Sims 4 Legacy Challenge – Siyasims
In this challenge, each generation is given a fatal flaw that they must overcome or revel in.
The reason this challenge was created was that the creator realized that the sims they enjoyed playing the most were ones with “negative” traits.
This challenge is more story-based than gameplay-based, and the aspirations and career choices are meant as a guide. You can go to university in any generation if you feel like it suits your sim’s story.
3. Crybaby Whims Legacy Challenge – Draeyad
This Sims 4 legacy challenge is all about drama and cuteness, with a story-based twist. The challenge is heavily inspired by the songs of Melanie Martinez and features dual colors for each generation.
This challenge may cover sensitive topics such as cheating, death, gangs, neglected childhood, kidnapping, and implied body dysmorphia. There is a base game-friendly path to this challenge available.

4. The Family Jewels Legacy Challenge – Sugarcain – Sims
This is a challenge where you have to follow a single family and watch townie families evolve as your family goes on. There is less structure in terms of traits and storylines, allowing you more freedom in storytelling.
The challenge is based on nine gems, all of which are collectible in the base game. There are different goals for each generation, including choosing traits, careers, and aspirations.
5. Such Colorful Lives Legacy Challenge – Plumbobs
If you are looking for a challenge that will keep you occupied for generations to come, try out this Sims 4 Legacy Challenge. This challenge requires sims to complete specific tasks in order to advance to the next generation.
Some of these tasks include becoming a 5-star vet clinic, marrying a pet owner, and having only one child as an adult.
This challenge is perfect for those who want to be able to play their sims for a long time without getting bored.
6. Whimsy Stories Legacy Challenge – Kateraed
Whimsy stories are always so fun to play! In this challenge, your sim starts off not knowing that they’re a spellcaster.
They begin to study wizardry and find a wand, a familiar, and a broom. However, the world isn’t ready for magic yet, so your sim hides their powers. Eventually, they fall in love with a mortal and confide in them about their true identity.
Then she decides to become a spellcaster too, and together they live a beautiful life full of magic and love. To complete this challenge, your sim must meet all the goals.

7. The Sims 4 Rainbow Legacy Challenge – Haliq

This challenge is perfect for those who want a long-term goal to work towards and who enjoy playing with different types of Sims.

9. The Spice Of Life Legacy Challenge – Niccymo
This challenge is about a family of aliens who are trying to become famous musicians.
The heir of each generation must master the violin and piano skills and reach the maximum level in the musician branch of the entertainer’s career.
They must also busk for money in San Myshuno at least five times. The final generation must master acting skills and reach the pinnacle of their careers.
They should also maintain a good reputation and retire from acting once they reach the Global Superstar rank. If they have children, the heir must not be an alien.

10. Stardew Valley Sims 4 Legacy Challenge – Chellplays
There are many different generations that you can try. One is where you only date one person and have a child with them, but never marry.
Another is when you become a professional athlete. There are also generations where you get to work in the medical or science fields.
Finally, there is a task where you must reset your life and start again from scratch. You can choose any of these generations to make your legacy more exciting.

11. Sims 4 Witch Legacy Challenge – Njadakaufey
This is a challenge where you have to try and break a curse that has been put on your family.
You can do this by choosing one of your Sims to be the heir and helping them achieve great things. Your Sims must also complete their aspirations and reach the highest levels of their skills.
If you have twins or triplets, you will need to help them complete each other’s parts of the challenge. Once all this is done, your family will be able to break the curse and live happily ever after.

12. Sims 4 Trait Legacy Challenge – Sarah Marshall
This is a ten-generation challenge, and some goals may play off each other, so be sure to look ahead before moving forward! You can use any packs you want for this challenge.
For every generation, you will choose a new trait for your Sims. The style and gender of the generation are completely up to you. But before you move on to the next generation, make sure you complete all the goals.
13. Secret Garden Legacy Challenge – Sul Sul
This challenge is about building a garden that represents your family for generations to come.
Each generation will have a different flower, color, and set of traits. You must complete various tasks in order to move on to the next generation, such as mastering different skills, achieving certain aspirations, and collecting items.
This challenge is perfect for those who want to create a long-running family with plenty of intrigue and secrets.
14. Sims 4 sour legacy challenge – Dizzy whims
This challenge is perfect for those who want a real test of their Sims 4 skills. For this one, you can choose whichever lifespan suits you best, and your heirs can be whatever gender you, please.
As long as you prioritize the goals of each generation, you can make up your own rules. The last task is called “Build a Graveyard .”
For this one, your goal is to remember all of your Sim’s heirs by completing their goals and collecting sugar skulls.

15. Sims 4 Harry potter legacy challenge – Clovervalley
This challenge is a lot of fun. You get to play different characters from the Harry Potter series. You can make your sims do different things and try to achieve different goals. It’s a great way to keep yourself entertained and excited about playing the Sims.
There are different ways that you can win this challenge. You can either win by completing all the objectives or by having the most money at the end of the challenge.
You can also try to complete different optional objectives. These are not required, but they can help you earn more money or get different rewards.
16. Sims 4 Mermaid Legacy Challenge – Iluusorythrall
This challenge is very exciting. You start with a single sim and have to do different things to make a family of mermaids.
There are lots of different goals, and it gets harder with each generation. Plus, you have to build all of the houses for each generation! It’s a lot of fun and you’ll never be bored.
17. The 7 Deadly Sins Legacy Challenge – Simvanie
This legacy challenge is about the seven deadly sins. These are vices that can lead to other bad things.
In this challenge, each generation will have a chance to learn from their sins and make things better. There are seven generations in this challenge, and each one will have different rules to follow.
You can play up to ten generations if you want by combining the rules of two generations. Money cheats are allowed for the first generation, so you can buy a lot or a house.
18. The Forgotten Realms Legacy Challenge – Anxiousmoodlet
If you want to try out a challenge that is based on Dungeons and Dragons, then the Forgotten Realms Legacy Challenge is perfect for you!
This challenge includes goals and story guidelines that are inspired by the classes from the game, so you can have a lot of fun with it.
If you want to, you can follow the strict challenge rules, or you can simply use this challenge as a way to add more excitement to your usual gameplay. Either way, you are sure to have a lot of fun with this challenge!
19. Boba Tea Legacy Challenge – Mari
This is a 9-generation challenge where you play as different Boba characters and have to complete different tasks in order for your Boba to be successful.
This can include anything from becoming a famous musician to starting your own farm. It’s up to you to decide which boba you want to be and how you want them to succeed!
20. Sims 4 Animal Crossing Legacy challenge – aSplashOfSims
This challenge is all about creativity and self-expression, with different generations representing one of the different zodiacs.
Heirs will have specific traits that must be met, but other than that, feel free to get creative!
Like a traditional legacy, you’ll start out on one of the 50×50 or 64×64 lots. Read up on each zodiac to get a better sense of your sim’s personality!
21. Disney Fairy Legacy Challenge – springsims1
This is a challenge where you play a character from the Tinkerbell movie series. You have to do different things in order to finish the challenge.
You can choose to do whatever you want unless there is something specific for that generation.
There are colors that go with each generation, but you don’t have to dress in those colors or live in a house with those colors. You can if you want to, though.
22. The sims 4-star story legacy challenge – PHOENIXVIAPINK
This is a 10-generation challenge where each generation has different rules to follow in order to complete the challenge.
The aim of the game is to have as many sims as possible reach the end of their life stage with as many points as possible. You need to start out with a young adult sim and must complete certain tasks in order to progress through the generations.
You must also maintain a good relationship with their family and friends, as well as keep their sims happy and healthy.

23. Flower Based Legacy Challenge – Bluespecter
A flower-based Legacy Challenge where you must try to complete each generation’s flower collection.
For every new generation, the meaning of the flower will change, as will the associated skills, jobs, and lifestyles. The challenge can be completed with any number of Sims.
24. Sims 4 Monster High Legacy Challenge
This is a challenge where you create a character and then play as them for their entire life. You can use any type of character, human or otherwise.
There are no specific rules, but I recommend following some sort of structure so that your challenge is more enjoyable.
25. Sims 4 Supernatural Legacy Challenge – Ashubii & Haids
This Super Natural Legacy challenge is based on 10 different supernatural creatures.
It had been designed to be story-based, meaning each generation would come to fit into their supernatural role depending entirely on the player’s actions.
There are some specific goals for each generation, but mostly it is up to your choice.
26. Sims 4 Postcard Legacy Challenge – Sojuteatime
The Sims 4 Postcard Legacy Challenge is a fun challenge with 23 generations🤓 where you can choose any prompt to start from.
You must save money to purchase a home for each of your children when they reach adulthood. You must also complete the careers and aspirations for each sim.
When your heir settles down and has their own family, take a family picture. Turn it into a postcard! Then send it to your friends and family back home.
27. Celebracy Sims 4 Legacy Challenge – cowplant-pizza
If you’re looking for a challenge that includes the Get Famous EP, then this is the one for you!
The goal is to maintain celebrity status throughout the generations and use the perks to your advantage. Only five generations are included in this challenge, but more may be added if necessary. So if you’re up for a fun and unique challenge, give this one a try!

28. Sims In Bloom Legacy Challenge – a-sims-garden
The challenge is simple: start with a single sim and try to get them to reach the top of their career. But there’s a twist — every time they level up in their career, they have to plant a new flower in their garden.
It sounds easy enough, but you’ll have to juggle work with maintaining a healthy garden, all while trying to avoid being fired!
29. Nightmare Legacy Challenge For The Sims 4 – Matchacake
This is a challenge where you play for 10 generations. In each generation, your heir must have a different aspiration and career.
You’re not allowed to use cheats, except for the one that lets you set the lifespan too short.
This challenge is meant to be difficult, as you’re limited in terms of what you can do and how you can progress.
However, it’s also meant to be rewarding, as you’ll get to see your sims grow and change over time, and you’ll have to really think about what you want each generation to accomplish.
30. Sims 4 Vampire Legacy Challenge – Lizzy’s simblr
The Vampire Legacy Challenge is a challenge in which you have to create a family of vampires and complete three aspirations for each generation.
Your elderly vampire will retire to a gothic mansion or castle in another world after three aspirations. You must also build a coven of vampires and follow the rules from the original vampire coven challenge.
31. Sims 4 Achievement Legacy Challenge – MintyMango
There are many different generations that you can do in this challenge.
Some of them might include trying to get to a high level in a career, becoming best friends with everyone, or collecting things.
You can also try to have a child with someone special. Whatever generation you choose, make sure it is something that you will enjoy doing. Otherwise, it won’t be as much fun.
32. sims 4 career legacy challenge – Risshella
The Sims 4 Career Legacy Challenge is a new way to play the game that requires you to complete one career in each of the ten available career tracks.
Once you have completed a career, you are then able to move on to the next one.
The ultimate goal is to complete all ten careers and has a sim that is the heir to the legacy family.
33. The 10 Generations/10 Ghosts Legacy Challenge – Katrinasforset
The Ghost Legacy Challenge is a challenge where the player has to create a sim who is the descendant of a ghost.
The player must choose an aspiration for their sim and a required trait. The goal of the challenge is to have the sim complete their aspiration while avoiding death by ghosts, starvation, or other means.
If the sim dies, they must be resurrected and can no longer have children. The challenge is completed when the sim dies of old age or completes their aspiration.
34. Max ‘n’ Match Sims 4 Legacy challenge – Plumbobs
In this challenge, you must become a powerful politician and reach the top of your career. However, your home life is far from perfect. Your kid is obsessed with the supernatural, and you definitely do not approve.
You must max out your skills in research and debate, charisma, and writing so that you can be a successful politician, while also maintaining a strained relationship with both your parents and your kids.
In addition, you must purchase the Brave trait from the Rewards Store to help you deal with the stresses of your home life.
Finally, you must live in a haunted house in heroic mode for at least half of your young adult life.

35. Differences In The Family Tree Sims 4 Legacy Challenge – Samtastic
In this challenge, you are a spellcaster who wants to become famous. You will go to university and get a distinguished drama degree.
You will then start an acting career and live in a mansion in the Del Sol Valley. You will complete the Master Actor Aspiration and then the World Famous Celebrity Aspiration.
You will be friendly to fans and paparazzi and get awards and more!
36. Sims 4 CAS Stories Legacy Challenge – Finnthesimmer
The Cas Stories Challenge is a challenge where you take on the role of different generations of the same family in The Sims 4.
You must start off with a random sim who will be your heir. You must then choose either to start off by yourself or move into a random house.
The goal of the challenge is to have your sims complete different generations of the legacy challenge while also adding their own unique twist to the challenge.
37. Ever After Sims 4 Legacy Challenge – IM-JENNX
Luckily for us, a Sims 4 Legacy Challenge is the perfect way to spice up our beloved game!
This unique and popular challenge involves creating a single Sim and playing out their life from birth to death, while the player-created family tree grows with each generation.
This challenge requires a lot of dedication, as it is designed to last for 10 generations or more.
The challenge encourages players to embrace the story of this Sim, their family, and those who follow in their footsteps. To make things even more interesting, players are allowed to use cheats, mods, or other custom content to build their ideal legacy family.
38. Sims 4 Barbie Legacy Challenge – Sims-himbo
If you’re a fan of the Barbie movie franchise, then this legacy challenge is perfect for you! It allows you to create your very own Barbie family and follow them through generations as they conquer various careers and aspirations.
From becoming a famous actress to ruling the world as a politician, there are endless possibilities for your Barbie family’s success.
What makes this challenge even more exciting is the addition of new “Barbie” personas, such as Countryside Barbie and Army General Barbie. These specific challenges add an extra layer of depth to the gameplay, making it even more engaging and entertaining.
Personally, I have had so much fun playing this legacy challenge with my Sims. It has allowed me to explore different careers and aspirations that I may not have tried otherwise. It’s also a great way to keep the gameplay fresh and interesting, especially for long-time Sim players.

39. Mythos Sims 4 Legacy Challenge – Jazzy Trait
This legacy challenge is my recent obsession in The Sims 4. As someone who loves mythology, I was immediately drawn to the idea of creating a pantheon of gods and goddesses in my game. Each generation focuses on a different theme, adding an extra layer of depth to the story and gameplay.
Weather, arts, knowledge, love, mischief, fortune, the seas, the moon, and death—these are the themes that my sims will embody as they progress through each generation. I can already imagine the unique personalities and traits each sim will have based on their assigned theme.
It’s like creating a family of immortal beings, each with their own domain to rule over.
What I love about this challenge is that it allows for creativity and storytelling. I can come up with different backstories for each generation and incorporate them into their lives.
